I love feeding the winter birds and this suet recipe is so easy to make. I reuse the containers that store bought suet comes in for my mold, but you can use plastic bags or wrap or other containers. Make sure the cakes measure about 1" thick by 3 1/2" diameter.

1 c. crunchy peanut butter
2 c. quick cooking oats
2 c. cornmeal
1 c. lard, solid shortening or meat drippings
1 c. white flour

Variations: sunflower seeds, cracked corn, 1/3 c. sugar, mixed feed, chopped soaked raisins, unsalted nuts, cranberries, crushed egg shells, 2/3 c. wild bird seed mix, chopped berries, currants, dried fruit, 1/4 c. millet, 3/4 c. dried and fine ground bakery goods like whole wheat or cracked wheat breads and crackers are best. Melt peanut butter and lard. Stir in dry ingredients, then any of the variations. Put mixture into plastic or containers and freeze. Suet is good as long as it stays cool outside.

I know I simply don't have time for all the wonderful awards and tags that my dear prim friends send me on my blog. I've started seeing some blogs out there as Tag Free, and know that I'm not offended by it, I fully understand.
With that in mind, I made up a few little freebies for ya below if you'd like to put them on your blog too!

How about some free tags! Just right click, Save As, and save on your computer to use with your dolls and creations! These tags are individual files so you can use only the one's you want. I've done these in sepia tones so they're ready to use!
